Our Charity Partner: Covenant House California
Covenant House California (CHC) is a nonprofit youth homeless shelter that provides sanctuary and support for homeless and trafficked youth, ages 18-24. The Cov believes that no young person deserves to be homeless; that every young person in California deserves shelter, food, clothing, education … and most importantly, to be loved. Now serving over 3,200 youth a year, CHC provides a full continuum of services to meet the physical, emotional, educational, vocational, and spiritual well-being of young people, in order to provide them with the best chance for success in independence. CHC is opening an Orange County location next year.
Marconi Foundation for Kids
The Marconi Automotive Museum and Foundation for Kids strives to reach its goal of helping to raise a million dollars a year for at risk youth in Orange County. A large percentage of net proceeds generated from special events and tours are donated to local children’s charities. Founder Dick Marconi has a mantra that he gives to all groups he addresses. That mantra is “learn, earn and return.” As his father before him said, first you learn by getting a good education, then you go out into the community and earn, and then you start to give back, perhaps in small ways to begin with, and as you reach retirement years, start giving in more significant ways. And that’s exactly what he’s done. Dick is known as one of the great philanthropists in Orange County, California.
“I am blessed to be able to support a number of non-profit organizations in our community, including attending nearly 10 galas or special events on a yearly basis and Fight Night is absolutely my favorite. And where else can you go and watch an exciting sporting event; enjoy one of the most amazing car museums in Southern California; and all on behalf of so many needy children and families in our community who really need our help, love, and support? ~ Paul Folino”
“2015 was our first ever Fight Night, and you can be assured that we will never miss this event again. The entertainment, the auction prizes, the culinary experience and the fights were nothing short of spectacular. This is an event that should be on everyone’s bucket list for those looking for a good time while raising money for a great cause. To top the evening off, my wife and I even went home with a brand new puppy from the live auction. ~Dean and Laurie Gray”
