Is the museum open weekends?

Yes, the museum is open to the public on Saturdays that we aren’t hosting a private event. Please review our calendar for closure dates.

Why is the museum sometimes closed during the week?

We are a private event venue as well as a museum and sometimes those events are held during the week. We know this can be frustrating to our museum visitors, but as a non-profit raising funds for local at-risk children’s charities, these events help us to raise said funds.

Are the cars still owned by the Marconi family?

No, Dick and John Marconi donated the building and the entire collection to form the Marconi Foundation for Kids, a 501(c)(3) non-profit.

Is the museum kid-friendly?

We love having kids visit the museum! Please be aware that our exhibit is ‘Look, but please don’t touch.’

How long has the Marconi Automotive Museum been in existence?

Since 1994

Do all of the cars run?

The majority of our collection is exercised regularly.

Do any of the cars get driven around town?

A few, but most stay close to home and get driven in the museum’s parking lot.

What is the most valuable car in the collection?

The Ferrari FX

What businesses were Dick and John Marconi in?

They were one of the world’s largest manufacturers of vitamin and nutritional products.

Does the collection change/rotate?

Most of the cars are permanent residents of the collection. We do have a few that ‘visit’ the museum from private owners, which can change periodically.

Does the museum ever purchase cars to add to the collection?

Not usually. We have been very fortunate to have several cars donated by private owners.

You advertise that the Museum holds events, what kind of events?

All types of events such as: Corporate Events/Meetings, Retirement Parties, Birthday Parties, Fundraisers, Weddings/Receptions, Celebrations of Life, Bar Mitzvahs and more!

What children’s charities and organizations does the Marconi Foundation for Kids support?

Beyond Blindness, Olive Crest, Covenant House, Orange County Rescue Mission, NEGU, Orangewood Foundation, Tustin Community Foundation, Caterina’s Club, Speech & Language Development Center, Children’s Hospital of Orange County, Shriners Hospital and many others.
