1989 Batman Movie
This iconic car is none other than the original ‘Batmobile’ from the 1989 film, “Batman” and was also featured in the 1992 film “Batman Returns” both starring renowned actor Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne. Sitting at an incredible 19 feet, 8 inches long, this is the only one capable of igniting over 20 foot flames produced by its jet fuel injected engine.
Some would argue that the ‘General Lee’ is not only one of the most well-known cars of its time, but also in entertainment history! This 1969 Dodge Charger is known for its high flying and car chasing antics from the hit 1980’s television series “The Dukes of Hazard”, also featured in the movie released in 2005.
The Original KITT
Formerly from the famous television show “Knight Rider” starring David Hasselhoff as Michael Knight, a high-tech, modern crime fighter assisted by ‘KITT’ a 1982 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am conversion, and an advanced, artificially intelligent and nearly indestructable car in its day. It now spends its time helping at-risk children in our community here at The Marconi Automotive Museum!
The Marconi Automotive Museum & Foundation for Kids is a class 501(c)(3) nonprofit that donates a portion of net proceeds from special events and museum visitors to at-risk children’s charities throughout Orange County. Thank you for helping us help kids!
The museum is open for tours Tuesday-Saturday 9:00am – 4:00pm, except on days when there is a private event scheduled. Please click here for closure dates.
