Fight Night 20 Is In The Bag & This Is How Much We Raised For Kids!
Well, we’ll get to that last part in a second. First, we want to tell you about all the awesome generosity that happened throughout the night!
One March 9th, 2018, the Marconi Foundation for Kids hosted its 20th annual Fight Night fundraiser at the Marconi Automotive Museum in Tustin. Every year we partner with another local at-risk children’s charity, and this year we were excited to work with CNN Hero Bruno Serato and his nonprofit organization, Caterina’s Club.
Our theme was inspired by Sir Bruno’s new book, The Power of Pasta, and because both founding men (Dick Marconi and Bruno Serato) are both Italians. Fight Night 20 was draped with deep red and golden-hued decor. Guests sipped on our signature drink, ‘The Godfather,” and took home Bruno’s book AND homemade balsamic vinegar and oil from the Marconi Vineyard.
It was a treat for guests, to say the least.
Our live auction did VERY well because our guests came with open hearts and open checkbooks. We couldn’t believe how much support was flowing throughout the room.
Here were some of our hot ticket items:
2019 Formula One Monaco Grand Prix Circuit Monte-Carlo for Two sold TWICE for $18,000. This item was generously donated by the Arch Bishop himself thanks to Bruno Serato. The adorable puppy was back this year and went for a whopping $17,000 – he was the cutest pup to date and we’ll admit, were sad to see him go. We had so much FUN playing with him in the office beforehand 🙂
And our final hot ticket item that also sold TWICE, was Tickets for Two to Elton John Farewell Tour & Signed Grammy Drumhead with VIP backstage access. This once-in-a-lifetime experience was possible thanks to our own Pricilla Marconi.
Curious to what Fight Night looks like? Here are some photos from the evening thanks to Bleu Cotton Photography.
Fight Night 20 celebrity guests included USC Quarterback Sam Darnold and his family. Olympic boxing brothers, Michael and Leon Spinks. KTLA weatherman Mark Kriski as the ring announcer and many Orange County elites having the time of their life.
And now, what you’ve all been waiting for…
Marconi Foundation for Kids and Caterina’s Club raised…
$400,000.000!!!!!!
The night’s proceeds are split between both charities. Think about how much pasta Bruno will be able to make with all that dough (pun intended!).
Thank you again to everyone who made the night possible. We at The Marconi wouldn’t be able to do half of the good we do for the at-risk children in our community if it weren’t for your support.
So, as always, thank you for helping us help kids!
Until next year.
