Caterina’s Club Founder and Executive Director Chef Bruno Serato holds up a photo of his mother, Caterina, the namesake of the organization, during a fundraising gala at the Marconi Automotive Museum on Sunday. The organization was formed when Bruno and Caterina were visiting a Boys and Girls Club near their Anaheim restaurant, the Anaheim White House, and noticed kids eating potato chips for dinner since their families couldn’t afford proper meals. Since then, they have served over one million pasta dinners to “motel kids” who might otherwise go to bed hungry. They currently feed over 1,200 kids in several Orange County cities five nights a week.
