Today marks one week since The Marconi Foundation for Kids annual Fight Night fundraiser. While the numbers are still crunching on how much The Marconi Foundation for Kids raised with its partner, the Jessie Rees Foundation, we do know this — within the first 20 minutes $100,000 was raised! We DOUBLED our goal! And it couldn’t have happened without YOU! #FNXVII also had TWO celebrity guests. Willie Gault, A retired WR in the NFL who went to Super Bowl XX and won with the Chicago Bears in 1985. Yes, it was hard to not pester him with questions about what it was like to play with Coach Ditka and Buddy Ryan, OR how insane was Jim McMahon? Sugar Shane Mosley was also in attendance with his son, Shane Mosley Jr, who boxed that night and won in the 3rd round out of 4 rounds with a K.O. It was definitely a knock out night at The Marconi! But, most importantly, The Marconi would like to thank YOU. The abundance of generosity YOU all showed Friday night was overwhelming and behalf of the Marconi Foundation for Kids and Jessie Rees Foundation, we thank you. The continuous and unwavering support YOU show throughout the year and especially during #FNXVIII is greater than miraculous. We can’t thank you enough! Stay tuned for the final number #FNXVIII raised for the two foundations. Net proceeds are split in half and given to the Jessie Rees Foundation and the Marconi Foundation for Kids. Until then, scroll through the pictures taken by the talented Bleu Cotton Photography: The Marconi Automotive Museum & Foundation for Kids is a class 501(c)(3) nonprofit located in Orange County. The Marconi donates net proceeds from museum admission and event bookings to at-risk children charities.
