Happy International Children’s Day! There are a few children’s holidays throughout the year for children, but today is considered a holiday representing the joint initiative between UNICEF and the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences to “tune in to kids.” Being that today is internationally all about the kids today, here are a few things to do with your kiddos to celebrate their awesomeness!
1. Build A Castle Out Of Books
It’s easier than you think. All you have to do is line the books up in a pentagon shape, with the book slightly open and resting straight up on its spine. Layer a few books on top to create a roof and then repeat!
2. Build A Fort
Even as an adult, it’s hard not to get excited about a fort!
3. Find A Puddle And Jump In It
4. Catch Butterflies/Lightening Bugs
5. Find Buried Treasure
6. Star Gaze
7. Arts & Crafts
8. Put On A Play
9. Putt-Putt Golfing
10. Bake Cookies
Here at The Marconi each day is about helping children. The founder, Dick Marconi, started the Marconi Automotive Museum and Foundation for Kids to give back to the community, and especially donate to at-risk children’s charities. The museum wouldn’t be what it is today without the kids or our supporters. Thank you for helping us help kids!
