How do you plan a summer employee appreciation party? Well, step one: book it at The Marconi. We are telling you, nothing beats a summer BBQ surrounded by muscle cars and gingham.

But if you need more convincing then that ^^^ here we go…how to plan a summer employee appreciation party.

Step One: Find a Venue to Host the Party and Set a Date. Take your employees out of the office to really get your party started. *Insider tip: consider renting out a space in the same area as your office, this way your employees aren’t making a drive they aren’t already used to.

Step Two: What’s Your Menu?
Is this a hotdog, potato salad, and hamburger type of shindig, or is it traditional Texas BBQ type of get together? Mayyyybe you want In & Out’s food truck to make an appearance, the decision is yours (just know In & Out food trucks don’t do shakes or fries).

Step Three: What’s The Entertainment? Do you want to hire an expert in your field to guest speak? Maybe have some arcade games, slot car track, or corn hole available as a time filler?

Step Four: Will There Be Prizes and/or Trophies? It’s employee appreciation, right? So will there be some extra vacation days to be given away or your own version of the Dundie awards?

Step Five: Decide if Employee Appreciation Includes Family or Spouse. If you have a couple hundred people this might be a tricky added bonus to include, but if you have 10-50 employees this might be a nice inclusion. After all, you see your office mates more than your own family and it might be nice to include both worlds for a few hours.

The best way to get ahead is to plan early, so get crackin’! If you’re considering hosting it at the museum, consider hosting it during July or August because we have a 25% off site-fee discount for any event booked in those months of 2019!
