For the past 6-weeks, Marconi Automotive Museum & Foundation for Kids has opened up its kitchen to OCC Food Recovery Kitchen to help support those in need during COVID-19.

Over 9,000 meals have been prepped and donated to organizations such as Orangewood Foundation, Thomas House Shelter, OC Food Bank, South County, Outreach, Unidos South OC, as well as assisted living homes and individual Orange County families struggling to feed their family.

All of this is being done by a team of five! If you’re curious about how it all started, click here to read how it all began.

Last week we reached out to our donor base to help raise funding for OCC Food Recovery Kitchen because every meal needs to be packaged in order to stay as safe and sanitary as possible between pick up and delivery.

The goal is to be able to pump out as many meals as possible for as long as this pandemic lasts. And boy, did our donor base step up in a big way!

Here is CEO Priscilla Marconi sharing the good news with the kitchen staff.

It feels so wonderful to be able to still do good work for our community despite being closed to the public for tour and events.

When there’s a will, there’s a way!
