Marconi events: Sunday In The Vineyard Showcase’s Merryvale Vineyards. Bringing the heart and soul of Napa Valley to Orange County, is what makes Sunday in the Vineyard , our annual wine tasting fundraiser, such a fun and unique event. Each and every year, guests taste over 80 varietals of wine, which many are from boutique wineries spanning the globe. Napa Valley has many terrific wineries, and Merryvale is one of them, which truly brings out the essence of wine and winemaking. Merryvale finds home in St. Helena, the heart of Napa Valley, in a building that happens to have a rich history. Their building dates back to the early days of fine winemaking, and was the home for such wine makers as Robert and Peter Mondavi, the Christian Brothers, and H. William Harlan. Merryvale founded themselves on the principle that “great wines are born on the vineyard,” and they source their grapes from some of the most exceptional wineries in Napa Valley. The Schlatters, Merryale’s proprietors, have a huge passion for wine and winemaking and it shows with each one their bottles. We are very happy to bring such a tradition to Sunday in the Vineyard at The Marconi Automotive Museum & Foundation for Kids.
